“The Charities is a musical group whose style and music is deeply rooted in the rich sentiment of what the west coast truly is. We’re best known for our original music that bends genres and often transcends various time periods. This is also what we are most proud about. We can attribute how far we’ve come to a lot of hard work and perseverance over the years. We also credit the wonderful community of musicians who have become role models for us. Was it easy? No. Do we love it? Absolutely.

One thing that we have all learned in this project is that nothing ever lasts. Even hard times. If you can push through the challenges and keep your head in the game, eventually hard times can accelerate success. For us, it’s just important to know how to be resourceful and play the hand you’re dealt. As the lead singer and founder of this band, making music and writing songs is how I overcame the hardships of my personal life. Learning how to be resilient and determined has become The Charities mantra.”
