SeeTrees

Good Medicine Presents: SEETREES live at Club Car Bar!

8pm - All Ages - Free Show

Full bar + food menu will be available for purchase

“seeTrees was formed in 2024 when hit songwriter, Drew Lawrence, formerly of the Americana band The Dales, connected with LA based drummer and producer, Luke Adams. Drawing inspiration from artists like Tom Petty, The War on Drugs, and Wilco, the project has a throwback feeling with a modern sense of renewal.

The debut album "Greater than the Past" produced by Adams, is a journey through textures of analogue synthesizers, pulsing rhythm tracks and ethereal guitars. This common thread unites the influences of folk, indie, arena rock and mellow singer-songwriter.

Lawrence’s storytelling is emboldened with honest, imagery laced lyrics that yearn for new beginnings and easy times.”

Rose's Pawn Shop

Good Medicine & Numbskull Productions Present: ROSE’S PAWN SHOP live at Club Car Bar!

7:30pm - All Ages - Tickets available now at the link below!

Full bar and food menu will be available for purchase onsite.

“For two decades, Rose's Pawn Shop have evolved their version of modern-day American roots music. It's an anthemic sound that's taken the group from their hometown of Los Angeles — where frontman Paul Givant formed the band as a bluegrass-inspired act, making room for punky tempos and fiddle solos — to venues across the country, where their sound grew to encompass the sweep of rock & roll, the sonics of folk music, and the storytelling of country. With American Seams, the band's fifth studio release, Rose's Pawn Shop nod to the wide range of those influences with also doubling down on their folky roots. Produced by Grammy nominee Eric Corne during a series of live-in-the-studio performances, it's a raw, reflective album about stepping into a new stage of life, reflecting upon all the lessons learned and mistakes made along the way. For Givant — a journeyman songwriter who's weathered the twists and turns of the music industry, unwaveringly dedicating himself to a project that's earned high marks from Rolling Stone (who called the band's work "a blast of 21st century pickin'-party music") and GQ (who praised their "knee-slapping bluegrass-y twang") — it's also a showcase of the the band's staying power. This is resilient roots music, grounded in sharp songwriting and the hard-won experience of a band that's dedicated itself to the long haul.”

Deslondes

Good Medicine & Numbskull Productions Present: DESLONDES live at Club Car Bar!

8pm - All Ages - Tickets available now at the link below!

Full bar + food menu will be available for purchase onsite.

“This band feels like the old family farm,” says Sam Doores, one of five songwriters and multi-instrumentalists in the Deslondes. “It’s a place where we can meet for the Fourth of July, bring our families, grill some burgers, and make some music together. It’s always going to be there, and we know it’s going to work and feel good.” After more than 15 years together, four albums, and countless live shows, the five members have found new inspiration in the ties that bind them together as friends and collaborators, as something close to kin. That sense of comfort and commitment animates their new album, Roll It Out, lending it a quiet poignancy as they reflect on what it means to devote yourself to other people—whether it’s family, friends, audiences, or other guys in the tour van with you.

Founded less as a band than as a neighborhood hang at Doores’ home on Deslonde Street, the band devised an anything-goes philosophy that allowed them to incorporate sounds they picked up on their travels and everything they heard at home: classic country, hobo folk, crust punk, rural blues, Third Ward jazz, rockabilly, r&b, Fats Domino and Allen Toussaint but also George Jones and the Band. “We take turns giving each other somebody to lean on when it’s our turn and the freedom to express themself any way they want,” says Riley Downing, who usually plays guitar and sings his own and others’ songs. “That means we don’t have a particular genre. It’s a gumbo of all different genres and time periods. Everybody’s literally into everything.”

Roll It Out recaptures the crackling energy of the band’s early days but also reflects the new perspective of age and maturity. “We’ve had some of these songs for a long while, and fans who know us might well know some of these songs,” says John James Tourville, who plays electric guitar, pedal steel and occasionally the fiddle, and who writes songs but doesn’t sing them. “It’s about half and half old versus new, so it feels both fresh and familiar to us. It reminds me of back when we were starting out, before we were even the Deslondes—back when we were the Tumbleweeds. It’s like we’re moving forward to get to where we were.”

“Sami Rouissi, a singer-songwriter from Nice, France plays an eclectic mix of folk, blues, soul, and pop-rock music. Soon after, he started performing publicly and made a living as a college student playing in the local bar scene in the south of France, slowly growing a loyal fan base. He eventually landed in Portland, OR and frequents the Portland music scene delivering smooth, yet upbeat sounds with a warm and soulful voice. In 2022 he moved to the California central coast, to finish recording and producing an album set to release in 2025.”

The Lowtimers

Good Medicine Presents: THE LOWTIMERS live at Club Car Bar!

7:30pm - All Ages - $8 Cover

Full bar + food menu will be available for purchase onsite

“For nearly a decade, two dueling guitarists and songwriters, Austin Smith and Mark Tegio, built the backbone of their namesake outfit, honing their hard-worn Americana songwriting. Their music shaped by years of troubadouring up and down I-5, from San Diego to Seattle.

Over time, their sound evolved from its more folk roots, inspired by the likes of Doc & Merle Watson and their guitar interplay, as well as mining the lines left by Townes Van Zandt and Blaze Foley, trying to learn the lessons those broken heroes left behind. As Smith and Tegio split their time between Portland and Santa Cruz, a new crew of musicians entered the Central California mix, expanding their sound in ways the duo perhaps didn’t know they needed—until they knew they did.

Enter The Lowtimers. This new 5-piece band—Tegio (guitar and vocals), Smith (guitar, vocals and harmonica), Tim Kelso (drums), Andrew Dreher (bass and harmonies), and Payton Vermeesch (pedal steel)—remain rooted in soulful Americana, but they now lay it over a new sonic landscape, injecting fresh empathy and drive into songs that paint wise western portraits of lives and loves on the road to redemption, where the goal is less about prosperity and more about peace of mind.

We may remember the past, but we should never forget what the future may hold. To be open and honest with art, it’s evolve or creatively die. And often, evolution delivers an entirely new animal.”

Lila Forde W/ ricky berger

Good Medicine Presents: LILA FORDE W/ RICKY BERGER

7pm - All Ages - Tickets available now at the link below

“With a voice like honey and an “Americana soul” sound steeped in old-school jazz, R&B, and folk traditions, the Seattle-born singer/songwriter carries the past into the present with refreshing ease. She does just that on her debut album VESSEL, a confident and cathartic coming-of-age record that captures the full spectrum of her artistry – from its roots in improvisation and harmony, to its emotional depth and genre-spanning warmth.

Raised in a spiritual, music-filled household in Seattle, Forde grew up without a television and with her feet in the dirt – the daughter of a musician and meditation teachers who encouraged her to stay curious, grounded, and creatively free. She spent her formative years singing in choirs, studying jazz in college, and steeping herself in the classics – including Bonnie Raitt, Carole King, Ella Fitzgerald, and Nancy Wilson – while developing a voice and vision that felt entirely her own. “There’s nothing else in this world I could possibly do,” she reflects. “I’ve known that from an early age; this is what I was put on this earth to do.”

Willy Tea Taylor & The Fellowship W/ Montvales

Good Medicine + Numbskull Productions Present: WILLY TEA TAYLOR & THE FELLERSHIP W/ MONTVALES

7:30pm - All Ages - Tickets available now at the link below

“There is no question that Willy Tea Taylor’s life as a singer/songwriter was predetermined – his role realized the moment he wrote his first song. His inspirations drawn from two separate wells; Living the life of a cattleman’s kid and experiencing true visionaries music like Greg Brown, John Hartford, and Guy Clark. The image of Guy Clark and friends sitting around the kitchen table loaded with ashtrays full of butts, half-smoked cigarettes, food, and booze on one Christmas Eve in 1975 burned into Taylor’s soul. Those guys, swapping songs without pretense, lit Willy Tea’s fire. And ever since, its led purpose with passion – finding a hang by curating relationships through musical friendships that get him closer to his own Clark style kitchen table.

From his early days co-fronting The Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit, to singing solo in countless cowboy bars, to pitching countless wiffle ball games, Willy Tea has never lost the vision. Now Willy Tea Taylor has taken his vision of the “hero hang” on the road. and his talented traveling band The Fellership is made up of his fantastically talented buds who play Willy’s songs with a brand of reckless abandon and utter humility that spits in the face of pretense. The way The Fellership plays Will’s songs is the way they demand to be played and, in their short time together, they have been awe-ing every audience lucky enough to see them.”

It&i is a delightfully odd one-man-band, who performs punky/dancy/cabaret/pop originals. With a love for eclecticness, and the insane bombardment of stimuli a carnival brings, It&i believes in writing well crafted songs, full of exciting twists and turns. It&i's music spans from grungy-folk to cartoonish vaudevillian nightmare, and everywhere inbetween. J & The Causeways

Good Medicine + Numbskulls Productions Present: J & THE CAUSEWAYS live at Club Car Bar!

7pm - All Ages - Tickets available now at the link below

Full bar and food menu will be available for purchase

“In a modern world seemingly gone mad, one of distraction and white noise, what emerges from J & Causeways’ debut album, Motions, is this universal theme of togetherness and compassion — melodies conjured and cultivated with a keen understanding of reaching one another through healing and transcendence. “This album is about getting the listener to tap into their own inner power and inner beauty,” says Jordan Anderson. “Stop searching outward for those answers. Start searching inward. And then, maybe we can raise ourselves up and out of our sadness and problems.”

Lead singer/keyboardist of New Orleans soul/R&B powerhouse ensemble J & The Causeways, Anderson has remained a magnetic presence in the city’s vast, storied live music scene for the better part of the last decade. “It’s that breath of fresh air that is New Orleans,” the 34-year-old notes. “There are no bounds for music, food, art, people and culture — everything is enriched here.”

A Louisiana native, Anderson was raised in a rural community, one where music was a welcomed constant, whether it be listening and absorbing the sounds of his family members playing and singing or simply diving down the rabbit hole of a nearby record collection — Aretha Franklin, Al Green, and Otis Redding all within reach. Captured by famed musicians/producers Robert Mercurio and Ben Ellman (both members of NOLA cosmic funk outfit Galactic) at Studio in the Country and Esplanade Studios, Motions is a record soaked in the freewheelin’ ethos, culture, and sonic tones of a vibrant city that Anderson proudly calls home.

“I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel like this album was some sort of creative burst,” Anderson says. “There were no compromises made on this. This is absolutely the closest version of who I really am that I’ve been trying to record and put out.” Closing in on eight years together, J & The Causeways have come a long way from those early days trying to secure footing, not only in their sound and purpose, but also that of Anderson exploring and discovering his voice and identity as a rising artist in an often hard-to-navigate music industry filled with seemingly endless unknowns.

“At first, it was so stressful, because you’re finding your sound and you’re gritting it out, trying to find something that is you,” Anderson recalls. “But now, when we got into the [recording] process and started putting these songs on record, I can’t believe what I was hearing back — it was what I wanted and more.” Diving into the melodic depths of J & The Causeways, one is immediately struck by the staggering vocal talents of Anderson, this soaring voice radiating from the stage — a level of octave prowess and sonic range akin to that of other renowned soul acts like Alabama Shakes or St. Paul & The Broken Bones.

“It’s that vulnerability of going around your house and being real goofy with your voice,” Anderson says of finding his towering, soulful tone. “And that really does factor into learning how to get a boastful and unique voice, by being vulnerable and trying things — finding the value of looking inside yourself.” Whether onstage or in the studio, Anderson aims to be a conduit into that universal energy of self. It’s this sacred, ancient space by which a human being is able to channel the essence of the magical ether surrounding all of us at any given time.

“A lot of people call it God, others call it a muse, but [whatever it is], it’s something in there that’s divine and uplifting,” Anderson says. “And when you can tap into that calm, meditative state and listen, you can truly sing how you want to sing.” At the core of Motions is the concept of cymatics, which are the visual representations created by sound vibrations. Leading up to the recording sessions, Anderson became utterly fascinated with how visible patterns were formed by specific frequencies and tones.

“I was in that mind frame of how everything can be connected through an energetic field, and not seem so material,” Anderson says. “At any point, and at any time in your life, you have the power to change those vibrations with your decisions and the vibes you put out into the world.” Anderson also is a keen observer and longtime subscriber to the idea of “the now,” where one is always aware and present in any moment you may be currently inhabiting or participating in.

“There’s no other true time. The past and the future? It’s all just made up,” Anderson mulls. “All we have are these moments that we’re having right now. This album is about vibrations and helping people put their own energies out into the world.”

“In the final moments of "Dead Friends," the penultimate track of the new Lighten Up, Bad Cop Bad Cop guitarist-vocalist Stacey Dee sings, "So try to love your life, while you can." These words serve as a powerful thesis for Lighten Up (Fat Wreck Chords, September 19, 2025), the SoCal punk group's fourth full-length. The album paints a striking portrait of life's hard-won victories and hard-fought losses. "I think that's what I write my songs about," Dee says. "Life is hard, but it's still beautiful. Stop picking the hard shit to look at—look at the beautiful stuff too. Lighten up."

The Howling Faith

Good Medicine Presents: THE HOWLING FAITH Live at Club Car Bar

7:45pm - All Ages - Free Show

Full bar + food menu will be available for purchase onsite

“The Howling Faith is a band that likes to keep things simple: melodic guitars, fiery vocals, more than a passing nod to some of the great "college radio" and alternative guitar bands of the 80's & 90's, with an extra twist of surf twang thrown in because why the hell not. When asked, "What do you sound like?", after a pause, some squirming and kicking at the dirt, founding members Laura Ishida and Danny Rodarte usually say with a shrug, "Garage-desert-surf-twang."

We are Los Angeles natives - born and raised - which surely has a huge influence on our musical tastes and weird outlooks in general. Maybe being from L.A. also makes us yearn for the open spaces, letting our music take us there when gridlock is the rule. So ride with us, roll the windows down, and let us drag you through an old warehouse by the L.A. River on our way to the open desert. We'll give you a tightly woven guitar-bass-drums attack, soaring vocals, distorted and twangy guitar hooks, and just the right dose of reverb to create an L.A.-meets-the-open-spaces kind of sound. “

“In the rich tapestry of music, few genres resonate as deeply and universally as soul. It's a genre that speaks directly to the heart, tapping into emotions with its poignant lyrics, infectious rhythms, and impassioned vocal performances. And within the realm of soul music, one name stands out for his ability to captivate audiences with his soul-stirring melodies and heartfelt lyrics: Les Greene.

Hailing from the vibrant musical landscape of Baltimore, Les Greene was destined for a life steeped in rhythm and melody. From a young age, he was drawn to the soulful sounds that permeated the streets of his hometown – the smooth jazz, the funky grooves, the raw emotion of blues. Greene immersed himself in the rich musical heritage of his city, honing his craft and developing his own unique voice as a musician.”

From 2005’s ode to his wife and loved ones, Outer Space, to 2022’s What I Believe, Beland’s oeuvre tells the story of a man in constant evolution.”

DAVE TATE

Good Medicine Presents: DAVE TATE live at Club Car Bar!

7pm - All Ages - Admission by donation

Full bar + food menu available for purchase

“Performing over 150 shows each year, Dave Tate connects with audiences through intimate solo performances and energetic sets with his group, Many Miles Band. His concerts feature a mix of his original music and his unique covers, creating an inviting and memorable experience for listeners. Tate has toured across the Western U.S. and Europe, and is one of the most in-demand musicians on the Central Coast.

Often compared to Paul Simon and Jeff Buckley, his sound blends Folk, Americana, Rock, Pop, Soul, and Country influences, while remaining uniquely his own. Sometimes high and soaring, sometimes hushed and inviting, Dave Tate’s powerful voice weaves poetic lyrics through soundscapes of finger-style acoustic guitar and percussive rhythms. Tate’s music was recently featured in a global on-flight commercial on all American Airlines international flights.”
